They are currently working toward registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and are supervised by Registered Psychotherapists with extensive training and experience. Psychotherapy Student Interns work with their clients and supervisors to gain experience in their field. They provide a unique opportunity to access quality care, while offering fees at a reduced rate.


Couples Therapy

A safe space for you and your partner to come together and talk about your concerns with the support of a Registered Psychotherapist, trained in evidence-based modalities designed to help couples navigate painful and difficult issues.


Supervision

One-on-One supervision with a CRPO Qualified Supervisor. For Registered Psychotherapists and other mental health clinicians who are working towards Independent Practice.

Megan understands that starting therapy can be a challenging process and selecting the right therapist for you is just one of these challenges, because of this Megan makes sure to offer a warm and non-judgement space allowing individuals to express their concerns in a safe environment. Using evidence based approaches such as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), narrative therapy, and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Megan will work with you to heal from whatever concern you are facing.

Melissa’s approach to therapy takes a modern twist, utilizing empowerment and motivation. This allows her clients to discover and become their best selves through collaborative goal setting. She takes an authentic client centered approach to psychotherapy creating a judgement free safe environment. She believes there is no one single approach to therapy and whether you are new to therapy or experienced, mental health takes continued attention as we as humans are dynamic.

My approach is client-centred, which means I don’t have a “one size fits all” method of therapy. I have worked with people from all different walks of life. My goal is to provide you with a safe space to talk.

I’ve helped clients in many transitional times in life such as a divorce, loss of a friend or family member, workplace issues, or coping with health problems.

Since 2011 I have been working with individuals suffering from depressed mood, anxiety, grief, addictions, pain, trauma, and relationship issues. I have worked with couples and individuals in therapy.

I obtained my MSc in Clinical Psychology from Acadia University and a BA Hons in Psychology from the University of Guelph. I have been registered as a Psychotherapist in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario since 2015. As a Registered Psychotherapist, my services are regulated under the Psychotherapy Act 2007 and by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.

In addition to my clinical work, I’ve worked on research in the areas of occupational health and safety and clinical program evaluation. Prior to becoming a clinician, I worked for four years in Human Resources. Each stage of my career has helped me to develop an extensive understanding of workplace and clinical issues.

I use evidence-based practices to help people explore their concerns, develop their emotional management skills, and become a friend to themselves along the way. In my practice, I am integrative in my approach and largely draw upon theory from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Humanistic Psychology, and Psychodynamic Therapy.
